Hives: What you are describing sounds like hives, or "urticaria." it is one of the few rashes which is evanescent. Lesions appear and also disappear. Generally, specific lesions do not last for >24hrs. Simple antihistamines such as benedryl, allegra, (fexofenadine) and zyrtec can help. Hives can be caused by a number of conditions, and it is important to have them evaluated by a physician.
