Noise of movement: Normal bowel sounds are caused by air and liquids moving from stomach to intestines.. Most of time sounds are heard immediately after eating or when hungry. When bowel sounds are hyperactive sometimes means bowel obstruction. When no bowel sounds means stopping of movement or paralysis or ileus. (recent surgery or infection). Boborygmi is latin medical term for bowel noises.
