Complication : This may be a complication of long standing type 1 diabetes and not uncommon. Some endocrinologists take care of this as do urologists. Not sure what type of specialist is managing your diabetes currently, but since endocrinologists take care of lots of men with diabetes, it might be valuable for you to start there.
