A member asked:

Is there a test to determine if it's type one diabetes where the pancreas is not producing any insulin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Looking at the Insulin and c- peptide levels are helpful compared to the blood sugar level. Sometimes antibody studies are necessary to determine if it might be type 1 or type 2. Some people have components of both. Please also discuss with your doctor.
