to spine curves : Both terms refer to curves in spine. Most people have a normal amt of each of these, curves and in those cases no treatment needed. If you suspect an abnormal degree of curve than an xray can confirm. Very few people need surgery.

Lordosis/kyphosis: Lordosis refers to the swayback normally present in the lumbar spine (lower back) and cervical spine (neck). The thoracic spine is normally bent forward slightly into kyphosis. Too much lordosis may be painful, and predispose to stress fracture with squats. Kyphosis may be painful but not likely from fractures. Could be a cosmetic issue if excessive. Core strengthening is best.
