Possible : It can be a pulled muscle vs. Sigmoid diverticulitis vs. A left sided kidney stone. If you are having severe pain and/or fevers you should go to the er immediately.

I woke up this past Sat a.m. with what I thought was a pulled muscle on the left side of my mid back;now has radiated to upper abdomen.
