Family practice: The varicella rash or herpes zoster rash/ infection appears only on one side of the body. It follows a nerve pattern. Can be on the face or down the leg. It may cause corneal erosions if into the eye. It even may cause encephalitis if into the spine. I strongly recommend the vaccine.
