It depends: For any adult, normal blood sugar levels are different if you are fasting (eg first thing in the morning) or if you have eaten. Normal fasting sugars are under 100. Two hours after having a heavy meal (or the sugar dose given in a 2-hour glucose test), normal sugars should be 140 or lower. A person without diabetes should never have a blood sugar as high as 200 at any time.
