My mother has already patient of meningitis since 2 december 2012 but she can't walk right now ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex: Depends upon infectious agent, as some bugs far more difficult to overcome than others. If associated with encephalitis, there may be direct brain damage, but, in some cases, may take months of rehabilitation for full recovery. Be aware that some pts do develop a normal pressure hydrocephalus secondary to meningitis, and this can be successfully controlled with a shunt, and this might explain.
