Ummm, depends...: Under the care of a board certified pediatrician or neonatologist or pediatric endocrinologist, there may be specific instances when Prednisolone is warranted. Obviously this medicine is known for far-reaching side effects; however, most often, Prednisolone is given only for short "bursts"--meaning for only a few days.
