A member asked:

Is prednisolone safe to give to newborns?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ummm, depends...: Under the care of a board certified pediatrician or neonatologist or pediatric endocrinologist, there may be specific instances when Prednisolone is warranted. Obviously this medicine is known for far-reaching side effects; however, most often, Prednisolone is given only for short "bursts"--meaning for only a few days. It is would be best for you to discuss this valid concern with your doctor.
