That depends!: These can be from skin colonization with staphylococcus or a disease: hidradenitis suppurativa (hs). If due to staph commonly treated with incision, antibiotics (sometimes long courses), antibacterial soaps & high heat washing of all laundry. Obesity, blood disorders, corticosteroids use, immune disorders, & diabetes mellitus need addressing. Hs needs specialized evaluation and experienced doc.
