Yes: You receive a very low dosage of radiation from dental x-rays. Not nearly enough to hurt your baby. Besides, you should be wearing a radiation shielding lead apron. However, most doctors and patients will want to minimize dental x-rays during pregnancy to remove any possible link to an unfortunate outcome.

Yes: Use a double shield apron and find a dentist who uses digital x-rays. They are 90% less radiation.

Needed x rays only: I agree that dental x rays during pregnancy are safe as long as a lead apron is used. However i would still only take x rays if needed for a specific problem. "routine" x rays can be postponed.
