However, most doctors and patients will want to minimize dental x-rays during pregnancy to remove any possible link to an unfortunate outcome.

Needed x rays only: I agree that dental x rays during pregnancy are safe as long as a lead apron is used. However i would still only take x rays if needed for a specific problem. "routine" x rays can be postponed.
