Likely nothing: Pectus carinatum is best operated when young. Unlikely to cause you physical trouble. If not very exaggerated in the appearance, you likely should leave alone. Thoracic surgeons and some pediatric thoracic surgeons are interested in, and expert, in the condition.

Depends on severity: Pectus carinatum and excavatum both occur from fast longitudinal costochondral cartillage growth. Thus pushing the sternum outward( carinatum) or (pigeon chest) or inward (excavatum). Depending on severity corective surgery can be performed if surgical criteria met.
