This means: That a piece of cartilage along the knee cap (patella) has torn but not completely come off (just a little flap).

Treat if symptomatic: Many people have a cartilage fissure or small flap. If it is painful under knee cap with bending knee, consider arthroscopy. Can try cortisone shot first for temp relief.
