Colposcopy is best: It sounds like what you have is what we call cin. Frequently , these changes have to do with exposure to hpv. You could wait and repeat your pap in 3-6 months or just go ahead and schedule an appointment or a colposcopy.

Depends: If you did not have vaccine for hpv and are a smoker who has had 5 sexual partners starting in adolescence you would be at very high risk for getting cervical cancer and colposcopy would be best. If you have minimal risk factors the dysplasia could heal on its own. So waiting would be reasonable.
