Personal genomics: I have a similar condition that i discovered after having whole genome sequencing via the personal genome project. The 2e1 system is part of a super family of enzyme systems in the liver. Many medications and most environmental toxins are metabolized thru this pathway. Eh & gstm1 two other major detox pathways if compromised may increase the risk for certain cancers and impair drug metabolism.

What type of detox: As the field of genetics and epigenetics advances more individuals will become aware of these types of problems. Taken altogether you do not metabolize and detoxify as efficiently which increases risk for disease and especially lung cancer from tobacco. Do not smoke, limit or abstain from alcohol, eat organic whole foods, exercise, avoid unnecessary medications and get help with supplement regime.
