Sugar: I wouldn't regard this as a sugar detox situation, but would consider the possibility of symptoms of withdrawal from foods you previously enjoyed. I would not discount depression as a cause of your symptoms .either in view of the change in sleeping pattern and down feelings. A consultation with a psychologist or psychiatrist may be in order.
