Will bio oil help reduce my hyperpigmentation acne scars? is it effective?

Probably not: Bio oil will pro ably not help. Avoiding sun, mild steroid creams, retin-a, kojic acid and hydroquinone may be more beneficial but this will depend on the cause. Venus stasis dermatitis may be improved with compression stockings.

Acne scars: There are two causes of the the hyper pigmentation in acne scars. First is the the actual dark spot left by the inflammation at stimulated the melanocytes. Second, is the erythema, the redness of the inflammatory process. Sunscreen will help both of the processes. The first may also require hydoquione, retin a, (tretinoin) kojic acid, chemical peels, etc.
