GI or Gyn: Common causes for left lower quadrant (llq) pain from a GI perspective include diverticulitis, colitis (infectious or inflammatory), constipation, and abdominal adhesions. From a gyn perspective, consider ovarian cyst or endometriosis. See your doctor.

Diverticulitis, kidn: The most common cause of gi-related left lowed quadrant pain is acute diverticulitis. This may be also give you fever, and loose stools. Colitis can also do this but will often also have blood in the stool. Other common causes may include kidney stones, pelvic inflammatory disease in women and a number of musculoskeletal complaints like groin pulls.
