No joint involvement: Fibromyalgia is not really a disease of joints. The trigger point tenderness is in the soft tissue. So the symptoms are pain, tenderness over characteristic trigger points, fatigue, headaches, GI issues and sleep disruption.

See below: Although a soft tissue sort of process, not unique to awaken with stiffness, but this not like arthritis and joint issue, merely a symptom of fibromyalgia.
