My daughter is 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant and is scheduled for an iron transfusion. is there any benefit doing it this late. she is not symptomatic?

Demand that she: Get induced, no benefit to waiting to deliver ! baby is better off outside than in, i never let my pts go this far and they do not want to ! if they think she needs a iron transfusion then she must be very anemic, she will lose blood with the delivery so I am sure they want to increase her levels, packed red cells can also be given if necessary but she needs to get delivered easy to induce.
