Perilymph fistula: Blowing the nose may cause significant increased pressure in the middle ear and if it causes dizziness and loss of balance you could have a communication between the middle ear air space and the inner ear fluids. Although this diagnosis of inner ear fluid leak is not easy to make, it may need to be ruled out by and ENT specialist. Blowing bacteria into the middle ear could lead to infection.
