A member asked:

How long does it take antibodies to clear the rabies virus from infected cells?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unknown: Humans infected with rabies cannot make enough of their own antibodies to clear the infection. If you get an injection of antibodies and a vaccine shortly after being bitten by a rabid animal, that nearly always prevents infection.
