A member asked:

If a person's immune system is weakened and his or her inactivated high risk hpv virus is reactivated, if he has antibodies against that virus, can he become infected with that reactivated virus?

Antibodies against that strain of hpv would indicate prior infection. A person does not get re-infected by the same strain like they might get strep throat, as bacterial infections behave differently.

HPV remains in the area and can get reactivated with lowering of the immune system- and this varies and is unpredictable. If you dot have any symptoms don't worry and let the immune system take care of it for unless you have some chronic condition the immune system makes a comeback
