I am on metformin for pcos, however it is causing some really bad side effects for me, is there any other drug i can ask my doctor about trying?

Glumetza: If you're having GI side effects with immediate release metformin, there is a long-acting generic preparation which may have fewer side effects. It the same thing happens with that preparation, get you physician to prescribe glumetza. It's a time release metformin that causes GI problem in very, very few people, but is brand name and more expensive.
