What were goals?: Metformin is sometimes given to those with PCOS who are pre diabetic or dealing with Insulin resistance. It is not clear what the treatment goals were? If you were looking to decrease Insulin resistance then Metformin is reasonable. If you were looking for menstrual cycle control then birth control pills may be a better option.
