Skin cancer: This scaling/peeling/ bleeding pattern is typical for a localized skin cancer, most likely a basal cell or possibly squamous. These commonly occur on the face or body surfaces that get lots of sun. Of course, this may be something totally different. But i wanted to catch your attention to have you pick up the phone and make a dermatology appointment. This is easily treated-but don't stall.
