Black dot on toenail?

Many Possibilities: Discoloration on your nail can be anything from fungus, to melanoma, to blood under the nail or just a mole. Some considerations to help determine what it is depends on the size, location, and if the "dot" is growing out. Best bet is to have a specialist eye it and decide if a biopsy is needed to differentiate the cause.

See below: It is probably dried blood either on or most likely under the toenail.
