Many possibilities: There are many possible causes of left sided abdominal pain. The most common include constipation (which can be so painful that it can feel like appendicitis), diverticulitis, ovarian cysts & ectopic (tubal) pregancny. It could also be an infection (stomach flu, parasites), irritable bowel syndrome or colitis. Of these possibilities, ectopic pregnancy is the most serious.Good idea to see a doctor!
