A member asked:

Is lichen planus related to calcification of liver and can consumption of whey protein isolate lead to calcification of liver or lichen planus?

Unrelated: Lichen planus is a rash on the skin and/or mouth that itches. Liver calicifications can occur from other sources, but not lichen planus. Whey protein will have nothing to do with either of these. Completely separate entities.

No: Lichen planus is an autoimmune disorder where the immune system goes haywire and attacks the skin of the mouth and body. It is not related to calcification of the liver to what I have studied. Whey protein would only play a role if it triggers an immune response, as in a sensitivity or allergy to it.
