Hip pain: These 2 symptoms could be unrelated but both should be evaluated by your physician. Joint pain and a butterfly rash can be associated with a condition called lupus erythematosus, which is an autoinmune disease, for that reason, see a physician.

Hard to say: There are multiple potential causes, but i would recommend you get checked. Lupus is one example of a very serious condition which can characteristically cause a butterfly rash and pain in one or more joints. I am not saying you have lupus, but you should be evaluated. Thank you.
