3 days after a biopsy, is it normal for the small cuts to hurt after having the gauze off of them and letting them breathe?

Maybe: It is unclear what type of biopsy you had, but it does sound reasonable for any open areas to sting on exposure to air. Call you dr if you have extreme redness at or around the biopsy site, or pus from the area, or fever greater than 100.
