Yes: It is aan angiotensin receptor blocker which are effective blood pressure lowering medication.Not sure the dose you listed is correct.

BP: Telmesartan is an effective antihypertensive drug. If her pressure is normalized with the dose she's on, that's great. If the pressure isn't normalized, you need to work with the doc to either increase the dose or add medication to improve the pressure.
