Occurs rarely: There are reports of rare cases of "normal" women delivering babies without prior knowledge of their own pregnancies. Seems hard to believe, but perhaps the women were very large before pregnancy, didn't have regular periods, and/or rarely visited doctors. In some of the cases, the women may have "known" they were pregnant, but were in denial (which would be a psychiatric problem).
