Had ct scan with iv contrast yesterday. today a small bruise above injection site and slight swelling in the area and some pain. is this normal?

Small hematoma: A little bleeding around the injection site. You can put cool compresses on the area and keep it elevated for a while. Nonsteroidal meds for pain. This will almost certainly subside and you can check with your doctor in a week or so if it seems worse.
