A member asked:

Is there more to bipolar than just experiencing highs and lows?

Yes: There are different types of bipolar disorder and multiple technical criteria to warrant a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. A professional evaluation by a psychiatrist or psychologist is recommended to get a crisp and reliable diagnosis. Only after an evaluation would treatment proceed. Btw, treatments for bipolar disorders tend to be effective.
