A member asked:

If i was sent for a chest x-ray, would the person doing the xray be able to see the results or just the doc?

The doc reads X-ray : The person taking the film is usually a technologist. They are trained to take the images but are not trained in image interpretation. Their medical training is limited as well. The radiologist reading the study has at least 5 years of training after medical school in image interpretation.

The technologist: and other authorized ancillary personnel may legitimately have access to the radiology report, if that is your question.

No: The person or technologist performing the study does not have the training or knowledge to interpret the radioigraph. This person is trained to perform the imaging of the patient Information from a technologist could be be very misleading.
