A member asked:

Why am i always sleeping when i'm sick?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's how we heal: Your body conserves energy to allow metabolism to go where it's most needed when we're ill. As a consequence we are significantly more tired and fatigued when we're ill and require more sleep.
