Zzz: If it takes you 30 or more minutes to fall asleep or you sleep for a total sleep time of six hours or less on three or more nights per week, you most likely have what we call insomnia. Patients with insomnia have increased fatigue, sleepiness, confusion, tension, anxiety, and depression. So yes, can make you "sick." recommend relaxation techs, see pcp if need meds. Need to have a good nights sleep.

Yes: Lack of sufficient hours of sleep can cause you to be tired, irritable, alter your mental function, decrease immune system function. As for being stressed, cortisol will be elevated and in turns your metabolism slows down, your mood will change and you increase your chance of becoming depressed. There are many other effects which could arise. Sleep at least 7 hours per day and try to relax.
