Depends: Otc antihistamines are effective at treating mild allergic reactions. If the reaction included respiratory/chest symptoms, GI symptoms, lightheaded, near fainting then it's a good idea to discuss with your doctor or an allergist to identify the trigger and prepare an action plan so it doesn't happen again.
