Its complicated: The activation of naive and memory b/t cells, and the generation of memory b/t cells is quite complex. There are multiple redundant pathways at work. Memory t cells can evenually be produced if a b cell binds antigen, gets activated, and presents the antigen to the t cells. But there are other ways memory t cells are created. See an immunology textbook, or talk with an immunologist for more info.
