Need more history: Many things can cause lip swelling. First thing i would think of is an allergic reaction. It may be some lip balm or anything else you put on your lips or anything you eat that can cause an allergic reaction. Some medications can cause this problem as well, such as ace-inhibitors. Some autoimmune diseases can cause lip swelling. Kidney problems will likely cause swelling in more places.
