Depends: On the depth of the burn and its location. The good news is that facial burns heal rapidly because the blood supply is so good. In general, a burn that heals in less than three weeks will not need a skin graft. Facial burns are considered to be burns of a critical anatomic area and are probably best treated by a regional burn center. Good luck.

Depends on the depth: Burns, as with most wounds on the face usually heal in a more expeditious manner than elsewhere on the body due to the abundant blood supply. It does depend on the depth or degree of the burn though. 1st degree burn usually are superficial and do not invade the dermis and are the fastest to heal and need no intervention. 2nd and 3rd degree are deeper and need surgical care and management.

Depth Dependent: Superfical burns heal in a few days, like a sunburn. Some intermediate burns can be heal in a week or two at the most. Any burn that is expected to take longer that two weeks to heal usually does better with plastic surgery. If in doubt, go see a plastic surgeon who takes care of burns.
