Planter Fascitis?: You could have pulled the fascia, which is tough fibrous tissue holding your arch together. This can happen if you stumble, or trip, and can happen if you step down on something like a rock. Gently stretching your arch before you stand on your foot can help, as does wearing a shoe with a little heel instead of flats. If it doesn't get better, see your doctor, or a podiatrist.
