Is it okay for me to cut 600mg ibuprofen prescription in half?

Yes: The 600mg tab is not any type of extended release special tab, so it can be cut to get a 300mg dose. However, cutting meds not always the best way to dose, as you can never be sure you are getting exactly half the pill, and some of the dose may crumble off when you cut it.
