Doc.what is benign pleural effussion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluid next to lung: Fluid located between the ribs and lungs is called a pleural effusion. Benign means that the doctor thinks there are no cancer cells within the pleural fluid. Benign pleural effusions can occur with lung infection, heart failure and other conditions. Malignant pleural effusions are seen with lung cancer or other cancers that have spread to the pleural lining surrounding the lungs.
