Asbestos- how long before pleural effusions build in lungs. xposed 3mo ago and have chst pains. docs say not do to xposre. ekg, pft, cxr nrml. any ideas?

Not related.: Usually asbestos exposure results in pleural plaques. These may take years to clarify and become apparent on chest xray. A single asbestos exposure is unlikely to cause symptoms unless severe. Such exposures are uncommon today.
