My shoulder is popping clicking and is always sore and has been like this for 3 months what could be wrong?

Clicking: Clicking and popping in the shoulder is usually a tendon rubbing over the bone. However if it is associated with instability and increased laxity in the shoulder it may represent a labral tear in the glenohumeral joint. An MRI can be obtained to further elucidate this diagnosis.
