You're too young: Temporal arteritis mainly affects people 70 years of age & older. Symptoms include headache, scalp tenderness (when brushing hair or touching their temples) , pain with chewing, fever & muscle weakness (getting out of a chair). The disease causes arteries to become blocked & can lead to vision loss & stroke. Diagnosis is made by blood tests & a biopsy of the temporal artery. Unlikely under 50.

Depends: You should see a doctor to be sure. Temporal arteritis is a potentially blinding even fatal condition. It is unlikely in your age group without other symptoms but see a doctor.
