Fever cause: T wasn't the rubella that caused the rise in your baby's fontenelle but the fever that accompanied the rubella.

Vaccinations: There have been rubella outbreaks and at five months of age she did not have adequate immunity. The fontanelle can respond to variations in pressure such as intracranial pressure and vascular pressure. Fever can cause the heart to beat faster and this may be related to this as well. Close follow up with you pediatrician is recommended.
